We started a partnership with URI Agronomy Farm!
From zucchini and eggplant, to watermelon and herbs, and even fresh eggs – we source what we can from the local farms here at the University.
With over 19 acres in production, the URI Agronomy Farm grows a little bit of everything. The proceeds from the vegetable sales to Dining Services help support the farm. Both undergrad and grad students are involved in every aspect of vegetable production from planting to harvest.
The annual amount of food donated to RI Food Bank and Jonnycake Center in Peacedale by URI Agronomy usually exceeds 10 tons.
