How We Work

Step 1 –Review Alert

After submitting an Alert, the referring party will receive an email acknowledging receipt. Each referral is reviewed to determine the appropriate response. We may contact the referring party if we need more information regarding the student or the issue.

Step 2 – Outreach

Early Alert staff will either directly reach out to the student or do so through another campus office with a pre-existing relationship with that student. These offices can include: Athletics, Disability, Access and Inclusion, Student Support and Advocacy Services, Housing and Residential Life, and Talent Development.

Step 3 – Follow-up

Early Alert will follow-up with students as needed, as well as with the referring party (when additional information is needed).
