Vechsuruck will be joining the Department in the fall. He will soon receive PhD in Economics from the University of Utah. His dissertation, titled “Essays on Keynesian Business Cycles,” analyzes the relationship between income distribution and the demand regime in macroeconomies. The main chapter empirically examines the characteristic of the business cycle caused by interactions between functional income distribution and aggregate demand. His research and teaching interests include applied macroeconomics, development economics, international economics, and history of economic thought. We are looking forward to having him here.
