URI Environmental Health & Safety has recently partnered with On Site Systems to deliver an all-in-one laboratory safety software platform. This software will be used in all research labs and will use your existing Single Sign On (SSO) to access. This EH&S software platform will enable lab users to easily do the following:
- View your lab’s chemical inventory
- View recent lab inspections and close out non-compliance issues
- Set up and view lab safety trainings for students, researchers and other lab users
- Quickly access safety data sheets for all chemicals in your lab
- Create and edit standard operating procedures for certain chemicals and processes
- Submit hazardous waste and biological waste pickup requests
- Track lab equipment and certification due dates
At the current time, EH&S is working with the URI IT group and On Site Systems to set up SSO and migrate existing data. We hope to have this new software platform up and running for the fall semester 2024. EH&S will be providing training for this software this summer.
