Welcome Message

Welcome to the Advances in Translational Neurotechnologies for Healthcare and Rehabilitation Symposium, taking place on Friday, August 14th at the Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering (FCAE) at the University of Rhode Island. This symposium reflects the growing momentum of our Biomedical Engineering program at URI, with a strong emphasis on translational research that bridges engineering innovation and clinical application. The program features a dynamic mix of lightning talks, keynote and featured presentations, a panel discussion, and poster sessions, providing multiple opportunities for scientific exchange and engagement. Dedicated networking opportunities will be provided during coffee breaks and lunch to facilitate meaningful discussions and interdisciplinary collaboration. By bringing together researchers, clinicians, and students working at the forefront of neural systems, neuroimaging, multimodal data integration, and translational neuroscience, this symposium aims to accelerate the pathway from fundamental discoveries to real-world impact in healthcare and rehabilitation. Beyond the science, we hope you experience the warmth and coastal beauty of Rhode Island, a place where innovation, collaboration, and inspiration naturally meet.
