Tau Beta Pi Initiation

On December 9, 2014, the College of Engineering recognized 52 outstanding URI engineering students by initiating them into Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. Founded in 1885, the society recognizes students with distinguished scholarship and exemplary character.

URI electrical engineering student and Tau Beta Pi inductee Alan Wells with his aunt Judy Wells-Vigar and grandfather Eugene Wells, both electrical engineers and members of Tau Beta Pi. Judy was inducted into the Brown University chapter and Eugene into the Clarkson University chapter.
