The results of AIChE’s 2019 salary survey revealed a median annual salary of survey respondents of $126,000, a 1.6% increase over the 2017 median of $124,000.

URI has received a $10 million gift for the new engineering complex from Michael and Elizabeth Fascitelli. The gift will help fund lab and research equipment for the building, which upon completion, will be one of the most technologically advanced in the United States.

The URI Wearable Biosensing Lab will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a special event on July 25, from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in the URI Library’s Galanti Lounge. There will be brief presentations of current research projects and networking opportunities. Please RSVP.

Kimberly Harrington, who is studying civil engineering and French through URI’s International Engineering Program, received a $1,000 scholarship from St. Mary’s Bank in New Hampshire. Only 12 students out of 115 applicants were selected for scholarships.
