The Undergraduate Research in Science and Engineering (URISE) Program is designed to connect motivated undergraduate students from all academic levels, particularly first- and second-year students, with faculty who are conducting research projects. The goal is to allow students to explore the diverse research opportunities and find mentorship from faculty across all engineering fields, and ultimately to enhance academic and professional growth.
Students are fully funded to work in research labs for about 5-10 hours per week during the academic semester. Funding is provided through a grant to support student success in the College of Engineering by a generous corporate partner.
Students supported through this program are expected to present a poster (appropriate to their academic level) at the COE Research Showcase during eWeek.
