Biography

Diana Turken was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned her MFA degree in Poetry at Mills College and taught public high school in Los Angeles for many years. A PhD candidate and Teaching Assistant, her poetic work is focused on bodies, myth, and questions of homeland. Her current research interests are Contemporary, American Literature, Gender and Labor Studies, and poetics. Most importantly, she is lifelong a Dodger fan.
