Biography

Andrew Merecicky received his PhD in English Literature at the University of Rhode Island. His research focuses on tracing experimental traditions of lyric subjectivity, with a concentration on 20th and 21st-century experimental/post-modern poetics of identity construction within poetry. He is working on a hybrid creative dissertation with a scholarly component. He is a poet, with an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he completed his master’s thesis, a full-length manuscript of experimental poetry titled Strange Little Vehicles, under the advisorships of Donald Revell and Claudia Keelan. He is the Managing Editor of Barrow Street Press.
