Facilities Operations at URI manages University resources efficiently and effectively to ensure an environment and infrastructure that support the teaching, research and outreach mission of the University. We are a service organization that strives to provide outstanding support for the students, staff and visitors that utilize our buildings and grounds.

Hours and Contact

  • Facilities Operations: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Control Center: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Occasionally, the office may close early. If there is an emergency, please contact URI Dispatch.
  • Maintenance & Repair, Custodial Services and Landscape & Grounds personnel work varied shifts to better support campus needs.
  • The initial point of contact for all emergencies is URI Police at 401.874.2121. Follow up with a call to the Facilities Operations Control Center at 401.874.4060 if the emergency is related to facilities or utilities.
