Through RI General Law §16-32-10, academic responsibility at URI is delegated to the President and the Faculty Senate. The Faculty Senate Executive Committee (FSEC) serves as the steering committee of the Senate. It represents the Senate in meetings with other University bodies and with the Provost, the President, and the URI Board of Trustees. Meetings of the FSEC are held weekly to coordinate the Senate’s business and its committees and address concerns within its jurisdiction.
