To propose a NEW General Education (GE) course, submit a New GE Course proposal form.
Please follow the instructions on the form carefully and completely and include:
- Course-ready Syllabus
- Templates for GE Student Learning Outcomes
- Library Impact Statement (LIS): Request the LIS from the subject selector, submit the RETURNED LIS, not the request
- Email agreement(s) or acknowledgement(s) from other department(s)/college(s), re: cross-listing or overlap of content
- Updated Curriculum Sheet or Academic Map with NEW COURSE indicated in tracked changes
To propose an EXISTING course to qualify in the GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM or to make a change to a course already approved in the GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM, submit a COURSE CHANGE Proposal Form. If the new course will result in program changes for major or minor programs, a separate Notice of Change form must be submitted.
