Senate Meetings

Faculty Senate meetings are scheduled monthly from 3:00 – 5:00PM during the academic year. Sponsored receptions typically follow the meetings. These are great opportunities to build collegial relationships and network with colleagues from other disciplines. Special Meetings may be called upon due notice.

Meetings will be held in person at a pre-determined location on the Kinston Campus, as well as remotely on Zoom. Please check back to this page for up-to-date meeting locations and Zoom links. In September, December, and April, the General Faculty-Graduate Faculty Meeting directly precedes the Faculty Senate Meeting.

In addition, meeting agendas and minutes may be accessed through the links provided below. Senate meetings are open to all members of the University Community and the general public. Non-senate members may address the Senate upon invitation of the Faculty Senate President. A Permission to Speak form is available here.

The Senate uses the American Institute of Parliamentarians Standard Code of Parliamentary Procedure. Senators may request a copy of the Code from the Faculty Senate Office, or click on this link for a brief motions guide.
