Animal Science
This option prepares students for careers as researchers, veterinary technicians, food animal producers, laboratory animal technicians or high school agricultural education teachers. Additionally, there are career opportunities at zoos or aquariums (educator, researcher, and exotic animal manager), within the federal, state and local government, as well as with many animal-related businesses.

Pre-Veterinary
Career options in veterinary medicine include private practice, either in small or large animal medicine, as well as federal, state and local assignments dealing with disease control and public health, teaching, and research. Food and drug companies hire veterinarians for product development and testing. Other opportunities include zoos, wildlife preserves, aquariums, racetracks, and laboratory animal facilities. There are also specializations in non-practice areas such as pathology, medical computing science, and scientific administration.
