USDA Foreign Agricultural Service(FAS) Internship

The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is hiring summer interns/trainees. Students enrolled in a variety of educational levels, from high school to graduate school, are eligible to apply. Summer Interns will receive varied assignments designed to provide on-the-job training and experience in activities conducted by various FAS program areas. The position assists Program Managers, Trade Specialists, Economists, and Foreign Affairs Specialists. This work experience will provide an extensive understanding of the organization’s functions and responsibilities; as well as, an opportunity to apply knowledge gained as a student to assist with data entry; data analysis; export opportunities; global food security; new market development; various assignments that increase the international competitiveness of U.S. agriculture and agricultural products; and, provide assistance to developing foreign countries.
