- Monetary Grants for URI Graduate Students Are Available through HEERF III American Rescue Plan Grants Federal legislation provides that graduate students who are enrolled in an institution of higher education during the COVID-19 national emergency are eligible for emergency financial aid grants from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF III). These funds are available regardless of whether a grad student completed a FAFSA or is eligible for Title IV aid. Graduate students that are enrolled and matriculated with an official 2021-22 FAFSA on file at URI and an EFC of $0- $14,999 will receive a $1500 grant for full-time enrollment.
