Biography

Felicia is a Ph.D. candidate in the Biological and Environmental Science Program, specializing in Ecology and Ecosystems Sciences. She has completed the Diversity and Inclusion Badge Program and two graduate certificate programs—Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing (GIS/RS) and Science Writing and Rhetoric. 

Felicia received training in science communication as a URI SciWrite fellow and has worked as a writing assistant in the Graduate Writing Center since it opened in Fall 2018. She was also awarded a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship in 2017, an American Association of University Women American Dissertation Fellowship in 2021, and has successfully applied for several research grants. She works with students one-on-one and through workshops to help apply for research grants and fellowships.
