Using WCOnline
The Graduate Writing Center uses WCOnline as our scheduling platform. You can access the most up-to-date schedule at our direct link: WCOnline
All students need to register for an account. If you have trouble making your account, please email us at gradwritingcenter@etal.uri.edu.
You’re in the right place if you see The University of Rhode Island Graduate Writing Center logo at the top of the page. It will also display URI Graduate Writing Center above the login.

Reserving an appointment is easy. You can make, edit, and cancel appointments through WCO. On the schedule, click any white box to reserve your appointment. Blue boxes indicate someone else has already reserved that slot. Orange boxes show your own scheduled appointments.

Appointments: What to Bring & Cancellations
Appointments run for 50 minutes. This practice allows our writing consultants to serve students more efficiently and effectively. You will still sign up for a 1-hour time block, and the consultant will alert you to the 50 minute mark during the appointment.
Appointments are limited to two (2) per week per student. Back-to-back or consecutive appointments are not allowed. This allows the GWC to serve the maximum number of students possible. For in-person appointments, you can bring a hard copy or digital version of your writing project. For online appointments, please have a shareable digital version of your project ready when you meet with your consultant.
If canceling an appointment, please give at least 2 hours notice. This will allow other students the opportunity to take the unused space. If canceling within the 2 hour window, students can email the GWC to let us know they cannot make it. If students miss two or more appointments per semester without notifying the GWC, their WCO account may be disabled. If this happens, please contact the GWC to resolve the issue.
We look forward to working with you!
