Sarah Hardwick

Biography

Sarah is a current student in the Master of Environmental Science and Management Program, specializing in Environmental Communication.
She received her B.S. in Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Her education included a Marine Biology Minor, an internship at a raptor rehabilitation center, and a senior capstone on the coastal bird species distribution of Cape Cod. She worked in MMA’s Academic Resource Center for three years as a Writing Tutor and a member of the Peer Assisted Learning Program.
Before starting her master’s, Sarah trained and worked as a Protected Species Observer for geotechnical vessels in the Northeast Atlantic. Now in the MESM program, she hopes to combine her passion for birds with science-storytelling. Outside of academics, Sarah loves creative writing, reading, and birdwatching.
