Aysha Moreino

Biography

Aysha is a double alumna of URI where she completed two Bachelor’s Degrees in Human Development/Family Studies, and Textiles, Merchandising and Design. During her time as an undergraduate student, she competed on the URI Women’s Track & Field team and was also a URI 101 mentor. Prior to pursuing graduate school, Aysha worked as an Academic Support Specialist for URI Student Athletes. In 2021, she earned her Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel with a concentration in Education. Prior to joining the team at Honors, Aysha served as Coordinator at the URI Multicultural Student Services Center where she assisted in program and event development, building management, and mentorship of diverse student populations. In 2022, she along with her fellow co-founders were awarded the NASPA Region 1 Equity, Diversity and Inclusion award for the Blue Table Talk programming series. She is also a recipient of the Unsung Heroine Award, presented by the Multicultural Student Organization, P.I.N.K Women in 2023.
