Biography

Jon joined the University of Rhode Island as the Advisor for the Pre-Health Professions in 2019. Prior to joining the University of Rhode Island, he worked as an Academic Counselor at Johnson & Wales University, advising students in the College of Engineering & College of Business.

A native of Maine, he attended Villanova University for both his undergraduate and graduate program, first graduating with Bachelor’s degrees in political science and communication in 2012. After graduation, he served for a year with Augustinian Volunteers at St. Rita High School in Chicago where he worked in the Office of Campus Ministry and Student Activities. Jon returned to Villanova to complete a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating in 2015. He then spent the next two-plus years working as a psychiatric crisis counselor before transitioning to higher education.
