Hi! My name is Molly Donnellan, I am a second-year pre-medical Biological Sciences major with a minor in Gender and Women Studies. I was born and raised in South Kingstown, Rhode Island into a URI family, and grew up coming to the campus regularly. My interdisciplinary studies have given me a unique perspective on how health, gender, and social justice intersect, and I hope to make an impact in these areas within the medical field. I aspire to pursue an MD and a PhD, hoping to do clinical research in the field of neurogenetics. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the violin, and hanging out with friends and family.
I was interested in becoming an Honors Ambassador in order to strengthen my leadership and interpersonal skills and to build connections within the Honors Program. The Honors Program has provided me with valuable skills and knowledge that allow me to explore my interests outside of my STEM curriculum. I understand that it may be daunting to have a challenging major while trying to balance the Honors Program requirements, and I’d be happy to help anyone who is in need of advice!
Molly is also involved in URI’s MEDLIFE Chapter, Director of Grow The Movement, a BIO 103 UTA, a Women in STEM Member and a CELS Seeds of Success Member.
