The Exploring/Undeclared Living and Learning Community at URI provides first-year students with a living environment that promotes personal growth, academic success, and a smooth transition from high school to college. See an overview of LLCs at URI

Eligibility

Incoming first-year students with undeclared majors who request on-campus housing are automatically eligible for assignment to the Exploring/Undeclared residence hall.

Programming and Traditions

Here are just a few of the opportunities available to you through the Exploring/Undeclared LLC, whether or not you live in LLC Hall:

  • Career forums to help you explore careers that you may find fulfilling
  • Meet-the-deans events
  • Monthly advising workshops to help you find a best-fit major that suits your personality
  • Mid-Semester check-ins where advising staff go door-to-door (with sweet treats) to check in on your academics and major interests
  • Door-to-door check-ins by the Resident Academic Mentor
