What do I do with my laundry?

Each residence hall or apartment cluster contains a commercial laundry room equipped with front-loading washers and dryers available for residents’ use.

Who cleans the dorms?

The University regularly cleans common areas, but residents are required to regularly clean their rooms, remove trash, and otherwise follow safety standards.

What happens if my property is damaged? Is there insurance?

URI does not insure residents’ property. Each resident student is encouraged to secure insurance coverage through a parent homeowner’s plan or from a renter’s insurance contract.

What happens if I graduate in the Fall and leave stuff in my room?

Residents who do not vacate are charged the weekly rates used during J-Term.
