Online Parenting Forum

This forum is designed to provide general support to parents who are parenting children in the early childhood years. We will answer questions, offer resources, suggest guidance and discipline strategies, bring up topics, summarize competing opinions, discuss COVID-19 regulations, etc.

Host: Phyllis Penhallow, M.S., Certified Family Life Educator, University of Rhode Island

Phyllis Penhallow, a senior lecturer in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at the University of Rhode Island, teaches courses in perspectives on parenting, child development, early childhood curriculum, and family life education. Phyllis has worked in the field of early childhood education for over 30 years as a teacher, program director, education coordinator, trainer, and parent educator. She has been a lecturer at URI for over 10 years, married for 25 years and has two young adult sons. Please note that URI students enrolled in a parenting course will be part of the forum.

Time: Mondays at 8 p.m., ending promptly at 9 p.m.
