Updated October 12, 2026: Eligible academic and nonprofit research groups can apply for 12 months of discounted Claude Team access. Standard seats are free; Premium seats are paid. Groups may have up to 25 total seats, including the principal investigator. Eligibility, availability, pricing, and renewal conditions are governed by Anthropic’s current program terms.

The program may be useful for research groups exploring AI-assisted literature review, coding, data analysis, scientific writing, and team collaboration. Anthropic states that it does not train on Team and Enterprise customer data by default; explicit opt-in and submitted feedback can be exceptions.
