Minor in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience

Requirements

Undergraduate students may declare a minor field of study in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience by completing a minimum of 18 specified credits in the major. Students must complete the minor declaration form, which you can download here or obtain from the INP Coordinator. The minor declaration requires signed approval of the INP Coordinator at the time of submission, and requires signed approval of the Assistant Dean of the Degree Granting College when the minor is completed.

To complete the minor in neuroscience, you must earn a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in all neuroscience minor courses, and at least 12 of the 18 credits must be at the 200 level or above. At least half of the credits required for the minor must be earned at the University of Rhode Island.

No course may be used for both the major and minor field of study (i.e., you may not obtain a minor if your major is neuroscience). Minor courses may not be taken on a pass-fail basis.

The requirements for the minor must be completed prior to graduation. Upon graduation, successful completion of a minor is noted on your official transcript.
