What Your Favorite Halloween Candy Says About You

Now, there are countless amounts of candies out there on Halloween night. It ranges from your classic Reese’s and Skittles to Wax Lips and Almond Joys. If your favorite candy doesn’t make the list, I apologize. But inside of this analysis of what your favorite candy says about you, also enlies the top Halloween candies out there. So with that being said, I feel bad for you if your favorite is Candy Corn.

Take 5 Reese'sReese’s

Much like the candy itself, you have a hard outer shell that at times can be tough to crack, but once you get there it’s the soft inside that everyone loves. You are also very versatile when it comes to getting things done or in whatever craft you work in. Reese’s is able to dish out different kinds of candy that never miss; Pieces, Take 5, Fastbreak, etc.

Candy SkittlesSkittles

If Skittles is your favorite candy you are an outgoing person. You’re easy to get along with because you are a good listener and accept all different kinds of opinions and people. You have a colorful personality, you are very lively and spontaneous when you are hanging out with your friends, and never provide a dull moment.

Candy SnickersSnickers

The famous slogan of the Snickers’ Brand, “You’re not you when you’re hungry,” is a perfect description if your favorite candy is Snickers. You may get a little emotional at times and may overreact in intense situations. But if you just get something to settle you down, i.e. a Snickers Bar, you will be able to handle anything thrown your way.

Candy M&MM&Ms

You are a classic person, and maybe a little introverted. You probably enjoy pre-21st century movies and vintage music and don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Much like Skittles, you also have a colorful personality. You may not be as outgoing, but you can be an energetic person at times and enjoy doing the things you love.

Candy Sour Patch KidsSour Patch Kids

You may seem a little hard to approach and cranky at first. There are times where you pull stunts that are questionable and can raise some trouble. But once people get to know you, they see that you have good intentions. You warm up to your peers easily and create strong, trusting friendships that will last forever.

Candy Kit KatKitKat

This all depends on if you break the KitKat (the right way), or just go for it. If you bite without breaking the candy bar first, I don’t know what to tell you. Nonetheless, if your favorite candy is KitKat you love to spend time with other people and don’t mind sharing what’s yours with others.

Candy TwixTwix

This one may suggest that you tend to have an argumentative personality. Of course, everyone knows about the big debate between right Twix and left Twix. Some may not have a preference, but if you do you are set on that side and will go to the ends of the earth to drive that point home… there is no agree to disagree.

Candy Milky WayMilkyway

If Milkyway is your favorite candy you are an easy going, go with the flow kind of person. Milkyway is your favorite, but you love mostly all candy almost just the same.

Candy SweeTartsSweeTarts/Smarties

You have a huge heart and always go the extra mile to make someone’s day. You have an affectionate personality and are always smiling to make sure even when something bad happens you keep the vibes at a high level.

Candy NerdsNerds

No, this candy does not use literal context straight from the name itself. If Nerds are your favorite candy you are somebody that doesn’t like to waste time. You get straight to the point when others may try to steer in other directions. When I have a small box of Nerds, I like to try to just get them in one fell swoop.

Whatever your favorite Halloween candy might be, I encourage you to enjoy indulging, and have a safe, happy, and healthy Halloween!

(Honorable mentions: Blow/Tootsie Pops, Butterfinger, Swedish Fish, Starburst, Hershey Bar, Twizzlers, Crunch Bar, 100 Grand)

  1. I like this. I’m teaching a class for kids about Chicago history and candy-making. Thanks- this will add a bit of fun!
