Ethics Across the Curriculum Summer Teaching Seminar

A multi-day summer workshop designed to help URI faculty incorporate ethical reasoning into their courses. This workshop aims to demystify ethics, emphasize the process of ethical reasoning, and develop a shared vocabulary for discussing ethics.

Summer Research Fellow for the Rhode Island Ethics Commission

Each summer, the Center provides financial stipend to support an undergraduate student to work as Summer Research Fellow at the Rhode Island Ethics Commission. The Summer Research Fellow works with the Ethics Commission Executive Director and staff on research projects relating to comparative analysis of laws nationwide relating to financial disclosure and governmental conflicts of interest, corresponding with other ethics agencies around the country, generating surveys and compiling survey responses, and helping to organize and report findings in written reports. The Research fellow also assists in the general workflow of the Ethics Commission pertaining to ethics education, advisory opinions, financial disclosure, adoption of regulations and enforcement matters.
