Students taking an online course for the first time this winter are highly encouraged to review our online learning information prior to the start of the course.

While most URI J Term online courses are administered entirely through Brightspace, music courses are administered via connect4education.

URI J Term online courses can be administered synchronously or asynchronously, depending on the curriculum and the instructor. Online courses may have daily and/or weekly assignment deadlines. These courses will likely involve a variety of key services that are available for free to all URI students. It is essential that students be ready to start participating in an online J Term class on the first day of the term.
