Cynthia Lees

Biography

After retiring from the University of Delaware where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in French language and literature and Foreign Language pedagogy (as Coordinator of the Pedagogy major across five languages), Dr. Lees has taught French courses at URI since 2018. Since 2012 she has been a member of the Editorial Board of Quebec Studies, the academic journal of ACQS (the American Council for Quebec Studies). Her published research centers on Franco-American writers of New England (Kerouac, Chabot, Riel, Perreault, Gastonguay, Dumas, Touchette, and Plante) and on writers of Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
