Biography

I teach undergraduate courses in French and Communications, and I am the Director of the French International Engineering Program at the University of Rhode Island.  I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Educational Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies at Rhode Island College. 

I consult in evaluating and assessing local and international educational programs.  Clients have included The American School in London, and early childhood education and HIV-AID prevention and education programs in RI.   I am the co-founder of the French American School of RI, 1993-1996.  As a certified sexuality educator, I served on the board of Sojourner House, a leading RI domestic and sexual assault agency, 2011 -2019, and was the board secretary for one term.  I was President of the First Unitarian Church of Providence, 2020-2023.  I am currently an elected representative for French expats in the district of Boston (includes MA, RI, VT, ME, and NH).

I speak French (native), German, and Spanish.   I am learning Portuguese, Italian, Hungarian, Vietnamese, and Arabic entirely on Duo Lingo.   Three quarters of my ancestry is from the Alpine Piedmont and Torino, Italy.
