Hongbing Tang

Biography

Hongbing Tang, ASLA, PLA, is an artist, landscape architect, and environmental planner with over 20 years of professional experience. She previously taught at the University of Massachusetts and Boston Architectural College (BAC) before joining the University of Rhode Island. She is a PhD candidate in regional planning at the University of Massachusetts. Hongbing is a licensed landscape architect in Massachusetts and co-founder of LANDD International LLC, an award-winning landscape design practice based in the Greater Boston area. Her work has won recognitions including a U.N. Global Human Settlement Award, multiple Boston Society of Landscape Architects Awards, and the 2024 Frederick Law Olmsted Award from Preservation Massachusetts. A native of Beijing who is deeply influenced by both Eastern and Western cultures, Hongbing brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to her teaching, research, and practice.
