Behind them is the first offshore wind turbine installed in the U.S., one of five 6-MW machines in the Block Island Wind Farm, which is expected to be in operation this fall. As part of the URI Coastal Fellows Program, Alaina and Nate spent the summer surveying visitors to the island on their opinions about the wind farm.
