 Explores Indigenous, Traditional, and Local Ecological Knowledge related to aquatic ecosystems and management.

 This course will provide an overview of relevant scholarship about indigenous, tradtional , and local ecological knowledge, with an emphasis on how indigenous and small scale societies get to know, share knowledge about, utilize, and manage aquatic environments. Additionally, the course will explore useful research skills and methods for students desiring to add ethnoecological knowledge to research and management efforts, focusing on participatory methodologies for ethical and just co-production of knowledge
