Biography: Taylor is the Program Manager at SeaAhead, a startup platform catalyzing bluetech innovation in New England. Prior to his work with SeaAhead, he managed the Local Catch Network, a community of small-scale seafood stakeholders across North America organizing the the 2019 Local Seafood Summit. He also conducted research for the University of Maine on adaptations by stakeholders and supply chains in the lobster industry. While at graduate school at URI, Taylor worked to identify the market potential for farmed kelp in southern New England and adapted an emergency manual specific to Rhode Island fishing families. Taylor’s seafood systems research has been published in the journal Fisheries Research.
