 Introduces legal frameworks governing coastal and ocean environments in the United States, including fisheries, pollution, and coastal development.

 This course introduces basic principles of marine and coastal law in the United States. It also integrates coastal zone, outer continental shelf, fisheries, marine pollution, and admiralty laws. It uses judicial decisions (cases), current events, and other articles to explore these topics. Objectives of this course include improved critical reasoning, the ability to objectively consider legal and policy issues, and application of legal principles.
