Prof. Pollnac reports from Thailand

Pollnac went to Thailand for 3 weeks in May and June 2015 to develop a research proposal with Professor Suvaluck Sathumanusphan (Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, Thailand).  They visited numerous landing sites along the coast of Rayong Province collecting information on which to base a research proposal focusing on ecological (human and natural environmental) factors influencing marine conservation attitudes, beliefs and behavior.  Behaviors to be examined in the research will involve attitudes toward and use of conservation technologies, as well as fisher group membership and participation.
