Memorial Union Roof Replacement Project Status

The Memorial Union roof replacement project is nearing substantial completion. Some roof work will continue into September, primarily around the skylight area over the Atrium hallway and the penthouse area near Ram’s Den.

Latest Update

Roofing work is continuing into September in the areas highlighted on the project map.

The front of the Memorial Union facing Quinn Hall is expected to be largely cleared of construction items, access and pathway barriers, and fencing by September 3.

Staging areas will remain behind the Memorial Union near the loading dock and may also remain near Union Square.

Current Access and Parking Impacts

Parking

Parking remains closed except for the upper tiers of the 45-minute visitor and customer lot.

Construction staging areas will remain behind the Memorial Union near the loading dock and may also remain near Union Square.

Atrium and Skylight Work

Future work around the skylights over the Atriums is expected to begin after the first week of September.

This work may impact Atrium hallway areas, Atrium Hall room use and reservations, and nearby third-floor office areas. Additional details will be shared when confirmed dates are available.

Safety and Wayfinding

Cones, barriers, fencing, and signage will remain in place as needed for safety and wayfinding.

Please follow posted signage and avoid restricted construction areas.

All exits remain available in case of an actual emergency.
