Undergraduate Audition Requirements

You must prepare two of the following selections:

• One etude from “30 Etudes for String Bass” by Franz Simandl
• Sonata for double bass in A Minor, Antonio Vivaldi RV43
  • • Any two movements
• Concerto for the double bass in F Major, Antonio Capuzzi Francis Baines
  • • Movement I
• Four Pieces for double bass and piano, Serge Koussevitzky
  • • Any one piece

You must also prepare the following two octave scales and arpeggios using the pattern below:

• F Major
• G Major
• E Major
• A Major
