Practical Maintenance of Green Stormwater Infrastructure at Roger Williams Park
Date: October 10, 2017

Location: Roger Williams Park Casino

Description: Learn how the Providence Parks Department is making the transition from gray to green infrastructure and how they are training their staff to keep up with challenges. This workshop includes an actual inspection and maintenance of a vegetated swale and terraced bioretention system. Participants will learn how to:
- Read the design / landscape plans
- Identify weeds vs. plantings
- Identify what type of maintenance is required
- Use the inspection /maintenance checklist
- Conduct maintenance and report results
This workshop was also sponsored by the City of Providence and the Green Infrastructure Coalition.

Stormwater Conversations: Lessons in Green Infrastructure
