Financial Aid

Students enrolled in the online MS in Dietetics Program are eligible for financial aid. There is no financial need requirement to qualify. Financial aid can cover the majority of expenses for the program including the cost of tuition and fees, the dietetic internship fee (interns only), and living expenses. Financial aid is not disbursed until the beginning of the fall semester so students accepted from the November internship match should make alternate arrangements to pay for the internship fees that are due prior to the start of the MS programStudents will need to file a FAFSA in order to apply for financial aid.

Sodexo Dietetic Interns are eligible for $49,373 in financial aid for the 2021-22 academic year.  This aid is in two different types of loans – unsubsidized loans ($20,500) and GRAD PLUS ($22,873). Sodexo Registered Dietitians are eligible for $37,623 in financial aid for the 2021-22 academic year. This aid is in two different types of loans – unsubsidized loans ($20,500) and GRAD PLUS ($17,123). You can review the Federal Student Loans website to see the differences in the two types of loans. You can only borrow up to half of the Unsubsidized Direct Loans in the fall semester.  The rest of the money borrowed must be PLUS Loans or alternative loans. Private bank loans may cost less than GRAD PLUS loans, so students are encouraged to check these sources.

Additional funds are available for the fall of 2022.  Students must refile a FAFSA in order to receive aid for the fall of 2022.

Both loans begin accruing interest when the money is disbursed. Repayment begins 6 months after graduation, you leave school, or you drop below half-time enrollment.
