Dr. Kristin Johnson has made a significant contribution toward institutionalizing and internationalizing nonviolence and peace, for which she received the highest Level 3 Kingian Nonviolence Training certification. She was a co-director and co-trainer of the URI Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies from 2020-2021. Today, Dr. Johnson is URI’s Interim Vice Provost for Global Initiatives. She joined URI as a professor in the Political Science Department in the Fall of 2007. She continues to direct the International Studies and Diplomacy program at URI.
