Javin received a B.S. in Communication Education with a minor in English Education from Illinois State University and earned a M.A. in Educational Administration from Concordia University Chicago. He is extremely active in his community, tutoring at the Boys & Girls Club and volunteering at grammar schools. He is purpose driven, and strives to push everyone to reach their highest potential. He was awarded Teacher of the Year 2016 at North Lawndale. He currently works as Dean of Students, implementing systems and programs for Restorative Justice in North Lawndale College Prep. He says his favorites include: Invisible Man, Ralph Ellison; Harlem Nights; Lion King and Broadview. His interests are: Bowling, Music, Dance, and Singing.
