Jim is the Research Director of the Educators Institute for Human Rights. He has studied nonviolence for social change with George Lahey, Bernice Johnson Reagon, and the late Narayan Desai. A Quaker with a degree in history form Earlham College, Jim has organized in-depth study of social movements, US slavery, as well as genocides and genocide prevention. He lives in Washington DC and is the father of two daughters. According to Jim, Level 2 training is the next step for him to learn more about nonviolence leadership, organizing, and mobilizing.
