Josephine earned her doctorate in literature from Fordham University in NYC with a dissertation on Virginia Woolfe. She taught courses at Penn State in English and Women’s Studies and directed a co-curricular program involving students in service learning in India and Washington DC. One of her passions is community liaison with and for international people. She is new to Rhode Island and currently works with Literacy Volunteers of Washington County. She states that she would like to increase her involvement to assist people coming to RI from other countries.
