Theresa is a Social Studies Junior High teacher in Santa Fe, Texas with a Master of Arts in Humanities. She first attended the institute last summer, and, according to Theresa, it enlightened her beyond her wildest dreams. She says she was also fortunate enough to travel on a Civil Rights bus tour in January 2018 facilitated by Dr. Lafayette. “It was incredible!” She is committed to turning our hurting world into a Beloved Community. The increased gun violence against children in schools is also a huge concern for her and she’s looking forward to learning how to be a more effective leader to mobilize her community.
