(Level I – 2015)

I have worked on civic empowerment and peace projects in Germany and Africa at both the national and grassroots level for nine years, and nonviolence has been at the center of my projects. I have a MA humanities and social sciences degree. My special interest is the use of innovation solutions to connect change agents at different levels of society engaged in decision- making processes. In my work in Africa, I found it effective to apply nonviolent ideas and techniques for conflict analysis, and mediation. My goal is to continue to work for peace and on citizen empowerment projects. I have seen how structural violence today is more subtle and thus more difficult to target. I see political indifference as a factor that feeds this structural violence.
