Biography

Over the course of my career, I have worked on a wide array of projects to inventory, monitor, and manage the natural and cultural resources of the National Park Service. I am particularly interested in the use of geospatial technologies – including GIS, GNSS, and data management tools – in support of environmental monitoring and conservation efforts. I have also had the opportunity to teach a long-term graduate level source in the use of high accuracy GNSS technology in resource management.

Research

Use of survey-grade GNSS to document post-hurricane inundation and evaluate subsequent vulnerability of National Park Service resources; coastal geomorphological monitoring, including shoreline beach/dune volumetric change; assessing habitat suitability for seasonal pond breeding amphibians; monitoring changes to salt-marsh extent and elevation due to sea-level rise
